Over the last several years, I have become interested in two new hobbies - golf and cooking
Golf gets a great deal of my time but there are enough people and businesses addressing this topic already. So you will not see much from me on golf.
Cooking also has lots of people and companies involved. But this is an area where we have a lot of interest in getting information out to people who have questions on how to start, how to get better, or how to take the work out of cooking.
What we intend is to link information on quality cookware, bakeware, cutlery, appliances and related tools with the skills and techniques to use these and to add recipes and 'tricks of the trade" to make cooking and baking easy and fun.
Our basic efforts will be focused on our online retail store (yoursmartkitchen.com) that offers quality cookware, bakeware, cutlery and appliances all at reasonable prices with superior customer service.
We will be adding information and recipes not only on the web site but also by linking with other web sites and university sites who are publishing recipes and information. In addition we will solicit input from customers and other participants on their personsal experiences to fill out the site. One of our primary focuses for this year (and probable into the future) will be on the Green movement and what influence cookware choices will have.
Besides this, I am also consulting with PwC on a part time basis assessing the implications of emerging technologies on business. Comments on these activites may show up on the Hub discussions from time to time.

Great questions but the answers may be somewhat limited at this time. While the green influence is starting to get some notoriety, still has not reached mainstream in the minds of suppliers, manufacturers and so on. So the information from "normal" sources may be limited. Consumer Search, Google and Amazon will be months behind developments and way behind on product assessment.
The availability of green products will be more evident from online sources than typical retailers.
