Want your kids to send off positive messages? Check out the baby onesies, t-shirts and more at CoolGreenAttitude.com. Your little one will be sending off cool green vibes with t-shirts that have sayings like “I am infinite potential” or “I am love & happiness.”

There’s something for everyone at CoolGreenAttitude.com, though. For toddlers: “I am learning” and “I am kind & caring.” For three to seven-year-olds: “I am strong & brave” and “I am unique.” And, for the super cool 8 to 16 year olds, “Dream It, Believe It, Do It” and “Cool: Don’t follow the crowd.”

There are also tees and shirts for men and women, and accessories if you don’t want to announce your potential via t-shirt. But, the best message to send, all the clothing is 100% organic and sustainable.

Biking Made Just a Bit More Comfy

Biking for miles on end can be a real pain in the butt, literally. But Greenknickers has arrived to solve all of your sore bum woes.

The eco-friendly company makes all types of funky undies, which can be purchased online at their website, www.greenknickers.org. Say founders Sarah and Rose, “We started Greenknickers to prove that ethical choices can be funny, beautiful and sexy. The logical place to start was obviously knickers!”

The cycling knickers have a removable padding inside that cushions you for support on the bicycle. They are made from 70 percent bamboo, which is particularly soft and good if participating in sports, and 30 percent organic cotton.

That’s not even the coolest thing on the site though. Other unique designs include Global Warming Knickers, which has a picture of a globe in the front. The catch is that once warmed up, the sea begins to take over the land on the globe, showing the effects of global warming.
There are also Seasonal Knickers with autumn-like trees, but again, once warmed up the leaves fall off, creating more of a winter feel.

The UK company has come up with something quite original, if I do say so myself. Also on their site, you can read their blog or subscribe to their newsletter. Boxers are also available, and if your looking to heat things up, check out the silky hemp undies!

20 Eco-Friendly Supermodels Help Clean Up the Cotton Biz

Models are naturally eco-friendly. Think about it: they take up less space, use fewer resources, and are pretty much vegetarian, since the only thing they consume is tobacco.

Now, these willowy stunners are greener than ever. Twenty supermodels have volunteered to pose for the new “Pick Your Cotton Carefully” campaign aimed at cleaning up the cotton business, which often employs child laborers for very little pay. But whatever will they wear?

Well, designers like Luella Bartley, Christian Lacroix, Betty Jackson and Katherine Hamnett have created chic eco-garments made from organic and fair-trade cotton. All proceeds go to the Environmental Justice Foundation.

Now how about we get some stars to tackle the cruel polyester trade??

Want to see more Celebrity Dirt videos on your favorite clean, green stars? Click here

Rihanna, ZIggy Marley, and Fashionistas Join to Fight AIDS

Fashion with a conscience. Who knew?

Global fashion retailer H&M has teamed up with a slew of artists for their hot new “Fashion Against AIDS” campaign. Rihanna, Good Charlotte, Justice, Katharine Hamnett, My Chemical Romance, Rufus Wainwright, Scissor Sisters, The Cardigans, Tiga, Timbaland , Ziggy Marley and more have donated their time and talent and by designing 100% organic cotton garments for H&M stores.

Fashion Against AIDS is all about drawing awareness to the 12 million people 15 to 24 year olds who are infected worldwide. 25% of the money from the sale of the clothes go to HIV/AIDS prevention efforts around the world.

And H&M’s eco-chic isn’t stopping there; they keep increasing their use of organic cotton every year. Looks like thinking green is gonna be in style for a long time to come.

Can a TV Be "Eco"?

We first heard about the new Philips Eco FlatTV back in January, when it won a coveted "best of" award from CNET at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show. According to Philips, this new HD TV, which started shipping this month, uses less power than many other LCD televisions, thanks to a few innovations that allow the TV to adjust itself to control how much energy it requires.

First up, the TV can dim its backlight when you are watching programs with high levels of black. This improves picture quality and uses less juice. The TV also includes a sensor which determines how much light is in the room around in. In dark rooms, the TV uses a dimmer setting, which in turn uses less power. Finally, the TV uses less power during standby mode -- in other words, when you turn it off, it's almost really off (a real rarity among TVs).

All in all, pretty smart.

The Philips Eco Flat TV, also known as the 42PFL5603D, is now available with a suggested retail price of $1,399.

If you’re like me, you love to watch HGTV’s Dream Home giveaways as a way to vicariously live the life of luxury. The problem with luxury homes however, is that they’re not always environmentally friendly. The good news is that HGTV seeks to remedy this in 2008 with their Green Home TV Special and Giveaway.

The HGTV Green Home Giveaway will be hosted by popular HGTV handyman Carter Osterhouse on March 23rd at 9:00 PM.

The home, which is located near Hilton Head, South Carolina, and all its amenities are worth about $850,000. It’s described as a “traditional-styled, low country cottage”.

Some of the homes features and amenities include:

Over 2,000 square feet

The home is fully furnished

Three bedrooms

Two and a half baths

“Construction and design elements that are known to contribute to a healthier living environment.”

A “Gold” Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

Water and energy efficient fixtures and appliances

Repurposed furniture and other items

A bed made from materials found on the construction site

Tankless water heaters

The home meets hurricane code requirements

A GMC Yukon Hybrid

Erosion control

Pervious pavement allowing rainwater to seep into the ground rather than run into sewers.

Drought resistant landscape

Limited turf so precious resources aren’t wasted on lawn maintenance

Lots of large “canopy” shade trees

Rainwater harvesting and water reuse features

Energy efficient windows

Energy star rated appliances

For more information on HGTV’s Green Home Giveway, please visit the HGTV website and view video, read the Green Home blog and learn more about creating your own green home. It’s Good: These reusable shopping bags, as stylish as they are durable, are designed by mother-daughter team Joan and Emily Sugihara. The bags are made of super strong rip-stop nylon, and can hold the contents of 2-3 grocery bags.

It’s Green: In just one year, a Baggu can save between 300 and 700 plastic bags, and the sturdy craftsmanship of the bags means you won’t have to buy another one any time soon. Baggu makes switching from disposable to reusable bags a smooth, painless transition.

It’s Here: BagguBag.com

Undies Made from Pine Trees

It’s Good: French lingerie company g=9.8, created by French designer Sophie Young, offers underwear that’s durable, exquisitely crafted, attractive, and very comfortable- the current line boasts “the comfort of silk, the feel of cashmere, and the coolness of linen.”

It’s Green: The g=9.8 line is made from a compound called LENPUR- a sustainable textile made from white pine tree clippings processed with enzymes into fiber. The clippings are managed sustainably, and harvesting coincides with normal tree pruning, so no trees are destroyed in the making of g=9.8 products.

It’s Here: g98.fr

It’s: $78.50 for a bra, $48 for panties

Air Jordans Get A Facelift

Nike has never changed the Air Jordan, their best-selling shoe since it was launched in 1985 -- named after the NBA’s best player of all time: Michael Jordan.

Until now. The sneaker didn’t just get a new look -- oh no. Air Jordans are now… green!

That’s right. The new line of Air Jordan XX3’s are nearly completely free of chemical based glues and adhesives, and boast an outsole made entirely from recycled materials. The shoe is apparently geared toward both environmentalists and jocks -- two demographics that are not often paired together in marketing strategies.

The decision to release a greener version of the Air Jordanis both bold and risky. The Air Jordan line has generated an estimated $7 billion in sales since it was first introduced 23 years ago. Consumers who purchased Jordans hoped to both improve their basketball game by channeling the skills of the shoe’s namesake, and, perhaps more importantly, look cool. So, will a new generation o fprospective wearers of the Air Jordan XX3 be put off by its eco-friendly design? Will they even care? Or will they like it even better?

The difficulty in marketing an athletic shoe as eco-friendly is being able to convey that the XX3 will be able to withstand the rigors of the game of basketball just as well as any other shoe on the market. Even Michael Jordan himself, while he is enthusiastic about supporting a green version of his classic shoe, was initially skeptical about the product’s durability. “It better work right,” he warned Nike designers.

Time will tell if the Air Jordan’s new, green image will help or hinder its status in the world of modern basketball shoes. Either way, Nike has made a clear statement about the future of shoe design, and the need to incorporate green manufacturing processes into the mainstream. We’ll see if the XX3 will inspire a new generation of consumers to “Be Like Mike.”
