Recycled Glass Tiles for the Home

Recycled tiles are a great green choice for homes. Most contain at least 30% recycled content but many contain much more then that, some up to 100%. Recycled glass tiles use glass from old bottles, old glass tiles, and other glass waste. I had an argument with a friend, who noted that recycled glass tiles aren't as beautiful, or don't have the range of new tiles available, but I don't agree. There are plenty of places that sell outstanding recycled glass tiles.

Costs of recycled tiles can be more expensive, but you can find deals. Many tile shops carry specials, especially if you buy in mass. Benefits of recycled glass tiles include reduction of landfill waste, ease of installing (no different than other tiles), ease of care (last long and clean easy). A major benefit of recycled tiles is their versatility. You can apply them to tons of situations:

Bathrooms and fixtures in the bath
Kitchens, and fixtures
Walls
Outside areas, including in and around water areas, like a pond or pool.
Division panels in homes
Accents and art creations
