H&M Launches "Fashion Against AIDS" Campaign
Fashion with a conscience. Who knew?
Global fashion retailer H&M has teamed up with a slew of artists for their hot new “Fashion Against AIDS” campaign. Rihanna, Good Charlotte, Justice, Katharine Hamnett, My Chemical Romance, Rufus Wainwright, Scissor Sisters, The Cardigans, Tiga, Timbaland , Ziggy Marley and more have donated their time and talent and by designing 100% organic cotton garments for H&M stores.
Fashion Against AIDS is all about drawing awareness to the 12 million people 15 to 24 year olds who are infected worldwide. 25% of the money from the sale of the clothes go to HIV/AIDS prevention efforts around the world.
And H&M’s eco-chic isn’t stopping there; they keep increasing their use of organic cotton every year. Looks like thinking green is gonna be in style for a long time to come.
