High Octane Grass
“Honey can you mow the lawn? I’m running low on fuel” Might not be as far away as one many think. Biology and engineering faculty at Rowan University have been working together for the past several years to produce ethanol. Items that have a high potential for use: corn stalks, leaves, and grass clippings.
One of the great things about the fuel sources is, this will help eliminate some waste also. All of the above mentioned possible fuel sources dominantly are just thrown out. While they are biodegradable, it still takes up room and releases fumes into the atmosphere.
