Beauty or the Green!

Much of the Rowan University landscape is green, pink, yellow, blue, purple, red, and so on depending on the season. The reason that there is so much vegetation on campus not just because “it looks pretty”, which it does, but it is to work around the exciting plant life. “It’s all designed around the concept of a pedestrian- oriented campus” states Ed Thompson, director of facilities, landscape management.

In the past, annuals were the only plants getting the most attention. Now Thompson focuses also on perennials flower bulbs. The campus looks great all year long. Parking is kept mostly to the around the campus, and there are whined walking trails all through.
